About Us
TheatreWeb.net provides artists and arts organizations with affordable web based marketing tools.
Our first projects involved building sites for a documentary film company and an Arab-American comedian. Each had a lot to say; one used humor to challenge racial stereotypes and the other used media to expose hidden issues effecting forgotten communities like the Navajos.
It felt great to be a part of their process, to know that our web based marketing tools enabled both to spread their message on a local and global scale. By creating these sites, posting upcoming events or a video clip online we were helping them to communicate their message and make people laugh, cry or learn something new.
In 2009, we took a step forward and launched our online catalog of affordable websites for the theatre community, www.TheatreWeb.net. Our goal is to provide web-based marketing tools for artists and arts organizations across America so they can have high-quality website design that fills seats without emptying pockets.
TheatreWeb.net was founded in 2006 by recovering thespian, Raven Petretti. Raven began acting and writing in her teens and honed her craft at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. After acting in murder mysteries, children’s theatre, off-off-off (did we say off?) Broadway productions and blink and you’ll miss me roles on TV shows like Law & Order she began to design postcards, posters, websites.
Raven has studied web design and development at NYU, The New School and is Macromedia certified.
